BARNSTABLE – Election Day in Barnstable has been delayed Tuesday after the city clerk was unable to open the vault the place ballots are saved.
The clerk notified the Secretary of State’s Elections Division that they have been unable to entry the ballots with a purpose to ship them to polling locations.
Emergency staff are “working to treatment the state of affairs as rapidly as doable.”
If wanted, Sec. of State William Galvin stated he’ll search a courtroom order to permit polls to remain open previous 8 p.m.
