San Diego – Amaya the orca and Duncan the bottlenose dolphin might be amongst these honored on Tuesday, Día de los Muertos, on PETA Latino’s ofrenda (memorial altar) for the a whole lot of animals who’ve died at SeaWorld parks. PETA Latino supporters carrying conventional sugar cranium make-up and orca cranium masks will maintain a vigil alongside the memorial with indicators proclaiming, “Honor Their Recollections. Shut SeaWorld.”

When:      Tuesday, November 1, 12 midday

The place:    Plaza de Panama, close to the intersection of El Prado and Pan American Street E., San Diego

“Greater than 40 orcas and over 500 different dolphins and whales have died in SeaWorld’s concrete tanks, lots of them prematurely, and people who stay can do little however swim in circles and lash out at one another in frustration,” says PETA Latino Affiliate Director of Communications Alicia Aguayo. “PETA Latino is looking on SeaWorld to present these animals an opportunity at an actual life as an alternative of an early dying by releasing them to respected seaside sanctuaries.”

PETA Latino—whose motto reads, partly, that “animals are usually not ours to make use of for leisure”—opposes speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview. For extra info, please go to PETALatino.com or observe the group on TwitterFb, or Instagram.
